How do I change SIP firmware to MGCP firmware on a 7960 phone
Hi All,

I have entered the mgcp binary filename OS79XX.TXT in the TFTP server and yet when I reboot the 7960 SIP phone it query's this file but never tries to load the MGCP binary. Am I missing something?

Does anyone have a guide to how to configure the file so as to allow this change.

I cannot find a way to delete the firmware, just how to remove the config on the Cisco TAC site.

All suggestions appreciated.

Fred

You want the P0S (note the zero) image in your OS79XX.TXT
(mine has P0S30203)

then make sure you have this line in your SIPDefault or your
SIPxxyyzz.cnf file (or similar).

image_version: P0S3-04-2-00
