Hello,

Can you send your gateway configuration and a screenshot of your CUCM trunk configuration? That’d give us more to go off of.

You are sending eight digits from CUBE to CUCM, but CUCM is set to accept 4 digits. Are your extensions 4 digits in CUCM?

hi

previously, i configured significant digits all and configured css to point to translation pattern and css of TP was pointing to phone. but for Troubleshooting purpose, i changed Significant digit to 4 digits and pointed it directly to phone (with the same last 4 digits)

What does the dialed number analyzer tool tell you?

Is there some digit manipulation going on ? You're not somehow using this trunk/port for registrations ? Messaging inbound is using a domain or address the UCM is going to respond to ?

Re: sip 404 not found for incoming calls [ In reply to ]
Thanks.

The 404 is sourced from the gi1/0/1 interface IP address. If CUCM initiated the 404 I would expect CUCM’s IP address to be the source of the 404.

It seems like this is config as “sip on a stick” (a router with a single interface used for inbound and outbound SIP traffic). A little more challenging, not impossible, but more challenging.

It would be outstanding if you could make the gi0/0/0 interface an “outside” interface in a different network, then bind the dial peers appropriately... again, not material to the issue outhand.

Once you have the inout debuts, please send it ove.

Re: sip 404 not found for incoming calls [ In reply to ]
Hi Naray,

What I would suggest is let's say your incoming DID number is 44608152,

let's say you have a DID partition DID_PT and an internal number partition Internal_PT (This is the partition of your internal DN)

Now make sure that NZ_CUBE_INBOUND_CSS is a CSS which have access to the DID_PT (You can create a different CSS which have only access to this partition for testing purposes )

then create a translation pattern and this pattern needs to be in DID_PT partition and this translation pattern needs to translate the 4460XXXX to XXXX
where XXXX is your internal DN in partition Internal_PT

The translation pattern CSS is let's say TRANSLATION_CSS this css should have access to Internal_PT

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Re: sip 404 not found for incoming calls [ In reply to ]
Hi Naray,

Can you also check the first CUCM in the CUCM group of device pool NZ_SIP-Trunk_DP is the same CUCM that you have defined in your dial-peer, you can also try to define all of your CUCM servers in dial-peer using “voice class server-group” command in the same order as your cucm group as in the device pool of the sip trunk.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Re: sip 404 not found for incoming calls [ In reply to ]
While it's important to rest your SIP trunks, else they become cranky, it's
also important to reset them, sometimes more than once, to be sure it's
properly initialized with all of the current settings, etc.

I have wasted enough time in the past, just to see that it works after a
reset, that I now simply reset the trunk before spending anytime
troubleshooting.

Granted, this only applies to certain troubleshooting scenarios, like, if I
had an existing/working SIP Trunk, and my call center script isn't working
correctly, I'm not going to just go reset the SIP trunk.

However, if I am integrating a new IP Faxing Server into the environment,
and it has never worked before, then I will reset it.

Knowing when to reset is a bit of an art, because editing a CSS partition
order/member for your SIP Trunk does not require a reset, but editing the
SIP profile does. Both are indirectly changing the SIP Trunk
functionality, so in a way, should be the same, but they're not.

Re: sip 404 not found for incoming calls [ In reply to ]
Hey Naresh,

Here are some other related ideas while others help with the main issue...

Why do you have MTP required on your SIP Trunk? Even then, do you know
that you have your MTP and regions setup correctly for this to work? Is
your service parameter for Fail Call if MTP Allocation Fails set to True?

Your screenshot doesn't show the checkbox for Run on All Active CM Nodes.
You want this in 99% of cases, because it allows CUCM to route the calls
more efficiently within its cluster pair.

Your inbound calling section shows that you're using the Dial-Peer for
Called Number Xforms. While I'm sure you're not doing that, maybe just
uncheck it to leave no doubts.

I see in your dial-peers you are hard coding a single inband DTMF on both
sides, which in some cases will cause an MTP to be invoked to help fix
issues. You probably don't want that and would have better solution by
enabling both inband (rtp-nte) and out of band (sip-kpml) DTMF.

Did you see that your CUBE is sending the inbound call out to your provider
after both CUCMs fail? Use huntstop on the pref 3 dial-peer to prevent
this, if you cannot re-configure the dial plan on CUBE to have no overlaps.

Naresh,

Any chance you could send a ccsip messages and a voice ccapi inout debug from a failed inbound call?

Sent from my iPhone

I tried both, via translation pattern or directly pointing a particular number to phone but still the same result.

pls see following snapshot and attached gateway config. outgoing dialpeer (200,201) is currently matching correctly to cucm (for incoming call)

Hello,

Can you send your gateway configuration and a screenshot of your CUCM trunk configuration? That’d give us more to go off of.

Thanks,

James

hi,

i have cucm version 12.0. outgoing call is working without any issue. but incoming call is failing. the call request is received by cucm but its responding with 404 not found. i checked CSS and also pointed call directly to ip phone using significant digits and incoming css but still the same issue. also sip uri have called number. not sure why 404 not found msg is sent by cucm to cube.

Regards

Naray

Naresh, I'm going to guess that your issue is not on the gateway. I think
that you will find the issue is within CUCM. Can you pull traces from CUCM
for the same call and share them? For example, I see you are using calling
and called party transforms

Also, did you see the comments I sent you earlier, and do you have
responses to them?
