SoftKey Template
Anyone know of a way to bulk update the softkey template the phones use? I have tried BAT, but it doesn’t have that field. I also changed the template used by the device pool and reset all the devices in that pool with no luck.

Thanks,

Re: softkey template [ In reply to ]
The phone will use whatever is in the devicepool
unless its overriden by the phone device level
configuration. You can use BAT or CM5 bulk phone
update to query and bulk update multiple devices.

Re: Softkey Template [ In reply to ]
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think it was much more complicated than that.

I googled searched "cisco 8851 remove decline"

And found a forum posting
<https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/how-to-remove-decline-button/td-p/3038744>
where someone mentioned this setting on the phone page in CUCM Admin:

*Actionable Incoming Call Alert*

I tried it out on my 8851 and sure enough, it removed both Decline and
Ignore.

I guess softkey configuration is now spread into two different places.

Re: Softkey Template [ In reply to ]
I think this has something to do with the "Actionable Alert" not being
a place where softkeys can appear. Technically it is some sort of
"pop-over" on this unit. On the 7800 it is softkeys, but not on the
8800.
