[nsp] configure command "do"
Hello,

somebody told me it would be possible to show the running-config out
of the configuration mode with the command "do show run". With IOS
12.2.10b the system asks for <0-999999>.<0-999999> Version number
when enterering "do ?".
Does anybody know what this means?

Thanks.

Re: [nsp] configure command "do" [ In reply to ]
I thought I heard of a feature request for that...but not sure if it really
exists, cant find anything for it.

In my 12.2(10b) 2600 I see this:

joshd(config)#downward-compatible-config ?
<0-999999>.<0-999999> Version number

...which is what you are getting when you put in "do ?"...

I don't believe there is any such command. "do" is probably shorthand for
some other command - see what typing "do?" (Without the space) gives.

there is such a command and it allows you to do any exec level commands
while in global config mode. Very handy and a huge timesaver.

Looks like it is only in the T train.... It appears to be a new feature and
maybe it will be incorporated into future mainline releases... Nice feature
if you need to see a CLI response like sh int..
