ATrpms support for RHEL5-betaX (currently only i386 and x86_64)
Hi,

I've started building ATrpms' packages against RHEL5. You're invited
to test these along with RHEL5 betaX and provide feedback.

Anything that applies to warranties of RHEL5 apply twice for ATrpms ;)

How to get it:
==============

Get it through the conventional channels you use for ATrpms, e.g.

http://atrpms.net/dist/el5/ for web browsing throgh the packages
or
http://dl.atrpms.net/el5-<arch>/atrpms/stable/ for repomd repos

The URLs will not change from beta to beta and the final release.

Reporting bugs/wishlists:
=========================

bugzilla.atrpms.net has an "el5" entry, please use that for reporting
also beta issues. There are also user/developer lists for ATrpms at
lists.atrpms.net.

Disttag of el4.9X:
==================

A note on the used disttag and the ensured upgradablity throughout the
beta series: The semi-official version of RHEL5-beta1 is
4.91. Therefore ATrpms' packages currently have a disttag of
el4.91. beta2 will presumably be versioned as 4.92 and so on. Once the
next beta is released ATrpms' disttag will shift to el4.92 forcing all
packages to be rebuilt. The new packages will naturally upgrade the
el4.91 packages and finaly will land at el5 once RHEL5 is released.

That way both fresh builds based on the latest available base os are
ensured as well as upgradablity at all times w/o having a release tag
inflation. A similar scheme is used for FC6 (e.g. currently used
disttag is fc5.92).

Just don't be surprised when seeing fractional disttags ;=)

Enjoy!
